What We Do
Professional Development Luncheons
Physicists follow a wide variety of career trajectories, so we invite speakers from different professions to speak about their work experience.
Social Events
We organize social events for the UMD community, ranging from board games and hiking trips, to bowling and cookie decorating.
Mentoring Program
The program pairs undergraduates and graduate students to form supportive relationships.
Outreach Events
PUGs connects with the broader College Park community through physics-themed events.

We work with Graduate Student Committee and Climate Committee to create positive changes for our community.
Workshops
We host a variety of workshops, including imposter syndrome workshops.
Our Mission

We are in the process of changing our name from Women in Physics (WiP) to Physicists of Underrepresented Genders.
